Simplicity

The simple things in life are the ones that are always free and I feel that they make us the happiest.
Simple things that make me happy:
  • Strangers smiling as they pass
  • doing something nice for others
  • visiting friends and relatives
  • making a positive difference
And there's probably alot more
So Im creating a challenge for myself to smile at 5 random people per day, do something nice for someone everyday, visit a friend or relative once a week and make a positive difference for a whole month.
Join in if you want and share the happiness :)

It's raining

Does anyone else love rain tapping on the window while you're snuggled up with a warm drink and a good book? Pure escapism. I actually love it. Even standing in the rain last year to watch a We Will Rock You concert. Hey it was Alnwick, looking over the castle. AMAZING. I wholly recommend it.
I haven't had much chance to escape recently as I am being reminded about incidents that happened a year ago constantly. But my favourite escape has to be my bed in the rain. Like I build a den with pillows and my duvet. I'm always well stocked up for rainy days- hot chocolate and library books at the ready. I love rain.

I like you temporarily...things I'm loving this week :)

  • I have some brilliant rewarding books to read- Jane Eyre, Rebecca, Pride and Prejudice, Tess of D'Urbervilles and Memoires of a Geisha
  • I already have plans for saturday :) Beach day with my amazing, funny, supportive friends. Seriously I never plan ahead but now I might more often.
  • I have a few projects on the go: one for psychology, a collage Im making AND a catch up project where I spend a month seeing people I havent in aaaaaaaages- be it going for walks, a coffee, a meal, meeting up in town, a sleepover, a garden party, a museum day, going to the beach or just a quick chat I have to catch up with 50 friends this month. Bring it on!

My life in pictures

Err this is me. Hii :)

I read a lot - I've just read Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde (a gruesome short story, but very interesting), and am reading Jane Eyre for school and Rebecca for fun :) I find it more rewarding to read classics but I do like modern fiction for some escaping- like Sugar Rush. I was a Twi-hard but Im not now. I just like the books but Ive grown out of it cos of all the hype- not worth it, seriously.
